CHR H7525/H7575 Fiberglass Tan Silicone
Glass-Silicone Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape
CHR® H7525 and H7575 (HVOF) are heavy-duty pressure-sensitive tapes used for thermal spray masking. They are manufactured by combining multiple layers of silicone rubber, aluminium foil and fibreglass coated with aggressive high-temperature silicone adhesive. HVOF means High Velocity Oxygen Fuel spray technique.
CHR® H7525 and H7575 have exceptional abrasion resistance and adhesion properties, which allows the tapes to wear very well during the spraying process. These tapes are also very conformable and can be used for many part configurations. They can continuously withstand temperatures up to 260 °C.
Factory stock for CHR® H7525 is in master rolls 33 m x 914 mm and 33 m x 1219 mm wide for H7575. Rolls can be slit in widths ranging from 6.35 mm to full width on 76.2 mm ID cores. CHR® H7525 and H7575 is supplied with a yellow plastic release liner.
CHR® H7525 and H7575 are used as high-temperature masking tapes in thermal spray and high velocity oxygenated fuel (HVOF) processes. The tapes are used to protect portions of the part being processed so that they are not exposed to spray. They are used primarily in the aircraft industry in their repair shops as well as in other markets where thermal spraying is used.
